At age 21, Magnus joined the army, leading to a decade long career in the Danish special operations force, the Huntsmen Corps. After serving 4 tours to Afghanistan, he received several service decorations, including the Medal for Wounded in Service, before receiving an honorable discharge in 2016, due to post traumatic stress.
The following years he dedicated heart and mind to mend his broken soul. Events lead him to publish a bestselling autobiography (Altid Fremad, 2018) about his life and experiences in war. Despite his efforts, it wasn’t until reconnecting with his lost passion for art, that he once again started becoming a whole individual.
Magnus now processes his experiences and emotions through painting and wood carving, thus turning nightmares into memories preserved on canvas.
