Artist

About me

Katrín Snæhólm Baldursdóttir is an Icelandic artist born 1963 in a town just outside of Reykjavik called Hafnarfjordur. As a child she was very artistic and creative and deep down she knew she was born to do art.

At 37 mother of four Katrín had this strong calling of the soul, remembering her her dream to become an artist. Se moved to England with her family where she studied visual arts and sculpture for 4 years in Emerson college wich builds on theories from Rudolf Steiner. Then Katrín did her MA in contemporary arts in Oxford Brookes University specialised in Social sculpture, Joseph Boyes.

Katrín paints because she have the urge to tell stories through forms and colours and to invite people to her spirit world. Katrín is mostly self thought in painting and she says she does’nt follow any rules, she just flows with her inner creative soul. Katrín never know where the intuitive painting journey is going to take her but she listen carefully to different storytellers from other dimensions and different worlds and stays true to their beings and birth them and their stories to our world in her paintings.
