My name is Dana Mohseni and born in year 1984. My heritage is Iranian, but I was also born and raised here in Sweden, especially in Gothenburg. Since 2013, I have illustrated figures of historical women from different historical eras and the main theme is primarily about non-white women or women in the global south.
Since 2017, I have participated in some exhibitions:
Overall, I’m a dedicated Star Wars fan and the Jedi philosophies and nowadays, I’m spiritually dedicated to the Force.
I am self-taught and have over time been using markers, ink pens for example; promarkers, copic chao, brush markers because
I have always preferred brushing pens over paintbrush.
Japanese manga, Persian miniatures and Western comic artforms has been my main source of artforms inspirations and as for the artists, without a doubt Frida Kahlo, Marjane Satrapi and Hiromu Arakawa.
